Media4Democracy - Support to the media sector and freedom of expression (Global)

Provision of a Senior Media Development & Freedom of Expression Expert (Team Leader) within the framework of the "Media4Democracy" programme which supports EU Delegations active in various countries.

Within the framework of the EU "Media4Democracy"programme, Collateral Creations provided a Senior Expert to carry out the following:

* Develop the methodology and tools for in-field mapping and political economy assessment of media institutions and related stakeholders in support to EUD responsive strategic advocacy & programming.

* Focus on regulatory mechanisms, transition to digital formats, media entrepreneurship, civic-tech initiatives and access to information.

* Work as Team Leader on the following field assessment missions:

– BOTSWANA (06-07/2018): political economy/media development research & strategic planning support to EUD.

– RWANDA (07 & 09/2018): political economy/media development research & strategic planning support to EUD; moderated a workshop on the International Universal Day of Access to Information in Kigali.

– KYRGYZSTAN (11/2018-02/2019): political economy/media development research & strategic planning support to EUD.

– MALDIVES (04-06/2019): political economy/media development research & strategic planning support to EUD.
